Dene O’Kane from New Zealand, passed away on 14 May 2024, at the age of 61, following an accident at his home on Waiheke Island. He was a renowned snooker player, known as “the greatest New Zealander to pick up a cue”. O’Kane was a two-time quarterfinalist in the World Snooker Championship and reached the top 20 in the world rankings. He was a highly respected figure in the snooker community and will be deeply missed.
